Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes, I'm well aware that it is June and we have had countless days of 90 degree weather! But, I believe today is a day for thanksgiving! "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let you requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6 For months now we have been making our requests for this mission trip know to God. Today I want us to be reminded of some of the ways He has already blessed this trip.

*We now have over 300 of our people registered to work.
*Our people have given over $46,000 toward the expenses of this trip.
*The meeting with the mayor went very well last Friday. She is excited about what we are doing and hopes to visit us during the week.
*The construction team has plenty of sites to work.
*Yesterday, Paige and Elizabeth Rice were unloading a truck full of supplies by themselves at the church when a number of people miraculously appeared to help them in the 90 degree weather!

These are just a few of the ways that God is going before us on this adventure! If you know of others, please add them to the comments below. We are so blessed!

Tonight at 6:30 in the sanctuary we will bring our "prayers and supplications with thanksgiving" before the Lord. Please join us for this special time of prayer for Mission Trip 2009.

Have a great day and, Happy Thanksgiving!
