Hope

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Peter 1:3-5

A living hope. Not an "iffy" hope, but a steadfast expectation of what is to come. That is the hope that we share in Jesus Christ. This week as I mourn the loss of my grandmother and grieve with the Edfeldt family, that hope is my comfort. In the end, it is the only thing that matters. Please join me in prayer for our mission trip as we share our hope with our community.

Please pray especially for the following needs:

*more workers in the areas of senior adult ministry, day camp, and "Taking it to the Streets"

*a meeting today between our mission team and the mayor of Powder Springs

*clear direction for each member of our team as they make final preparation for the week

*the community of Powder Springs, that they will see Jesus in us and be drawn to Him

Please use the list of team members in the side bar as your prayer guide over the next two weeks. Pray that they would be sensitive to hear the voice of God as He leads them in this endeavor. Ask that God would go before them and have His will in each detail of the plans for the week.

To God be the Glory!
