I still miss Harold and Laverne Wilcox. I was blessed to know both of them and witness their special heart for mission work. They devoted their lives to ministering to people who needed the Hope of a Savior. I watched them lead us to begin a tradition of church wide mission trips dedicated to spreading the love of God outside the walls of our church. I believe that Harold and Laverne knew that spending one week solely focused on serving the Lord would change not only the lives of those we went to serve, but it would also shape us into a people with a continuing heart for missions all year long. What a legacy they have left for us!
Please pray that the people of our fellowship will seek and follow the direction of the Holy Spirit concerning their gift to the Harold and Laverne Wilcox Mission Offering. John 6 tells the story of what Jesus can do when we are willing to give what might seem to us a meager offering. Over 5,000 people were fed because one boy was willing to give what he had. I can't wait to see what God will do with the offerings of our people!
Thank you for your prayers! To God be the Glory!
